Basic Modules

Training Area

  • Access to the platform controlled by Username and Password. The password is automatically generated;
  • Deadline User Password: this feature allows administrators to set a fixed value (in days) for user password expiration; at the end the user can request the reactivation of the password via the link “Have you forgotten your password?”; the re-activated password is sent via email at registration;
  • Management of an unlimited number of courses (limited only by the physical capacity of the disk of the server hosting the platform);
  • Courses divided in three categories: Open (open courses), Closed (closed course), Revised (classes with updated content available for users who have successfully completed their courses);
  • Possibility to structure the contents in groups of lessons divided in formative modules;
  • Lock for the display of pages: this feature prevents the user from viewing a page until the previous one does not appear at least once (ex. page 10 is not visible until the user has displayed at least once page 9);


S.M.L.A. (Social and Media Learning Area)

  • Chat area where users can talk to tutors, professors and online members of their virtual class;
  • Topic Forum;
  • Glossary implemented by the Tutor or Teacher with automatic links to all text static content containing the word in the glossary;
  • FAQ area implemented by the Tutor or Teacher;
  • Multimedia Area where users can view movies or play music;
  • Online help, accessible from the login page;
  • Area Photo for the creation of courses related galleries;
  • Personal space for each user to take and store online notes on line for every single lesson;
  • Repository for additional documentation, tutorials, and communications:
    • The repository can contain an unlimited number of files (limited only by the physical capacity of the disk of the server hosting the platform);
    • The repository is related to the course

 

A.L.U.I. (Advanced Learning User Interface)

  • Large study area for displaying static or dynamic content. The areas that divide the platform are resizable by the user in Windows-like mode;
  • User profile area with diversified functions depending on the level of access:
    • Standard user: profile, calendar, communication;
    • Administrator: profile, calendar, communication, user requests, administrative area
  • Information Area:
    • duration of the course;
    • classes available;
    • available test;
    • online users;
    • tutors and teachers email contact
  • D.D.I. (Difficulty Degree Index): an icon that indicates the degree of difficulty and time required for learning the contained concepts. The degree of difficulty is managed by the teacher;
  • Timeline to display the units already in use, those still to be faced and the difficulty of each one
